Fixed Assets - the BIG Picture! [Infographic]

The term "Fixed Asset" is used in accounting to represent assets that traditionally fall under the umbrella of property, plant, and equipment. Often times, fixed assets are listed on a company's balance sheet in their favor, but they are usually not the most liquid of assets. It's a distinction that could carry significant impact when trying to determine a company's real value. Fixed asset management is a sub-discipline of accounting that tracks, and optimizes the use of fixed assets for large companies.
